Fairfield Curriculum Statement
The aim of the staff and governors at Fairfield First School is to provide the opportunities for children to develop as independent, confident, successful learners with high aspirations and a ‘can do’ mindset. We want our ambitious curriculum to inspire, interest and motivate pupils, being one of the many reasons our children love coming to school! Our curriculum is underpinned by the National Curriculum and Early Years Framework, meaning that the learning at Fairfield is broad and balanced, covering all statutory areas. Alongside this, our learning is driven by our locality and core values, whereby cross-curricular links are made where appropriate. The children have the excellent opportunity of 'Learning Outside the Classroom' from EYFS – Year 4, where learning is bespoke to each class and linked to their learning to enhance the experiences of the children.
